25-year-old Bradley Manning from crescent, OK was dishonorably discharged and sentenced to 35 years in jail after he was found guilty of multiple charges, including violations of the Espionage Act for copying and disseminating the documents while serving as an intelligence analyst at a forward operating base in Iraq.
Army Pfc. Bradley Manning was charged of leaking hundreds of thousands of classified documents to the anti-secrecy group WikiLeaks among these documents were the Iran and Iraq war Logs, and the famous video named “Collateral Murder”
It is well-know that Bradley Manning was openly gay, his latest boyfriend Tyler Watkins was the same person who told Wired’s Kevin Poulsen that Manning had told him he was considering leaking sensitive material he found.
Watkins and Manning met in 2008 while he was stationed in Fort Drum in Jefferson County, New York, Watkins, 23, a neuroscience and psychology student at Brandeis University who introduced to his friends a tight hacker community with whom Manning became very close.
According to media Tyler Watkins describes himself on his blog as a classical musician, singer and drag queen, broke up with Manning months after they began dating, but Bradley took the breakup pretty bad, Manning became depressed when he found Watkins was dating somebody new.
