29-year-old Omar Hammami is one of the two most notorious Americans in jihad groups. Omar Hammami otherwise known as Abu Mansoor Al-Amriki has been allgedly killed but reports of his death are released every few months in Somalia.
Hammani criminally known as “the American” was killed Thursday in an ambush ordered by the rebels’ leader reported by the nypost.
The al-Qaida-linked extremist rebel was killed by their own after a falling-out with al-Shabab’s top leader. Hammani from Alabama ascended the ranks of Somalia and was on the FBI’s Most Wanted list with a $5 million reward for his capture.
The native from Daphne, Alabama, was married to Sadiyo Mohamed Abdille.
Unfortunately there is not much info or even pictures from her, but we did find a picture with her name that could belong to her. Sadiyo, she and her family who are natives from Somalia had fled the fighting for Canada.
The couple married in 2005 when she was 19-years-old; they met at an Islamic conference; they were introuduced by her brother in law Bernie Culveyhouse-who is married to her sister Ayan-when he was 20 and she was 18. She is the daughter of Mohamed Salad to whom Hammami asked for permission to marry his daughter.
At first Sadiyo’s father who rose to become an army colonel in Somalia thought Hammami was a fanatic and said if they had been in Somalia he wouldn’t have accepted their marriage. But since he had been ousted in 1991 following his training in Texas he and his family set off to Toronto where Sadiyo’s father became a coffee house owner; so he thought “This is Canada. I am Canadian. Daughters decide what they like.'”
In June 2005, the couple left for Cairo. Hammami told people he wanted to study Islam at Al-Azar University.
They became parents and were going to Somalia but Sadiyo and her baby returned to Canada aided by her father. The couple allegedly separated in 2007 after two years of marriage.
Sadiyo’s husband stranded and became a top commander in Al Shabaab, an Al-Qaeda affiliated terrorist group. With the help of his high school friend he converted to Islam, to Toronto where he immersed himself into the local Somali community, and finally his journey to Egypt and Somalia.
Where he has allegedly died in an ambush in Somalia’s southern Bay region.
