Melissa Hodgman is the loving wife of FBI agent, Peter Strzok –who was recently dismissed from Mueller’s Russia probe.
Melissa’s husband is being accused of blocking information after it was revealed he changed former FBI Director James Comey’s description of how former secretary of state Hillary Clinton handled classified information.
The top counterintelligence expert at the FBI, Peter Strzok, is said to have led the investigation of Hillary Clinton’s private email server as the No. 2 official in the counterintelligence division. He was considered to be one of the bureau’s top experts on Russia. It was Mr. Strzok who signed the document officially opening an investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.
He earned his master’s degree from Georgetown University in 2013.
According to the NY Times and Washington Post, Strzok engaged in the text conversations with another F.B.I. official, Lisa Page, with whom he reportedly had an affair. However he and wife, Melissa Hodgman are thought to be together.
49-year-old Melissa Hodgman is a NY native whose mother died in 2010, aged 67 according to an obituary.
Melissa happens to work at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. She was named associate director at the SEC in October of 2016. Melissa, an attorney, began working in the enforcement division at the SEC in 2008 as part of the legal staff. She was promoted to assistant director four years later in 2012.
As part of her job, she investigated numerous cases of fraud.
Melissa Hodgman earned her masters of law with distinction in securities and financial regulation in 2007 from Georgetown University Law Center, her law degree with high honors from Georgetown University Law Center in 1994, and her Bachelor of Science degree from Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in 1990. She and her husband donated between $2,500-4,999 to the school.
Prior to the SEC she worked as an associate at Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy in Washington.
