John Allen Newman
John Allen Newman is the husband of Omarosé Onée Manigault-Newman –best known only as Omarosa and who until recently worked at the White House.
Allen’s wife who was employed by the Trump administration as a political aide has decided to step down from her duties at the White House. Omarosa, the director of communications for the Office of Public Liaison for the Trump administration is set to leave next month in order to pursue other opportunities.
Born February 5, 1974; the Ohio native attended Howard University, a historically all-black college in the South. She landed a job as a political consultant for Vice President Al Gore in the 90’s.
She gained fame after she appeared on the first season of The Apprentice, which starred Donald Trump, and returned in 2013 to star on All-star Apprentice. While on the show, Omarosa was soon cast as the villain who had trouble getting along with people.
Omarosa has also made appearances on The Oprah Winfrey Show and The Surreal Life.
In addition to her role as a contestant in 2004’s Apprentice, she was on Battle of the Network Reality Stars in 2005 and The Eric Andre New Year’s Eve Spooktacular in 2012.
As for her love life, she was previously married to Aaron Stallworth but divorced him after five years. She got engaged to actor Michael Clarke Duncan and was present at the time of his death.
However in 2016, her luck in love changed. She and pastor, John Allen Newman became engaged. It was reported at the time he proposed to her in front of his congregation. The two were married earlier this year.
John Allen Newman and Omarosa became husband and wife in a ceremony held last April at the Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C.
John Allen Newman is a Jacksonville, Florida, Senior Pastor of The Sanctuary at Mt. Calvary Church. According to the church website, Dr. John Allen Newman visited Africa in 2013 –where he provided pastoral leadership to 50 churches and pastors.
As a matter of fact, Newman happens to know a thing or two about presidential campaigns. From 1984 – 1988, he worked with the Jesse Jackson presidential campaign as chairman for the Northeast Florida area. His profile further reads “He was additionally active in the Obama 2008 presidential campaign. Pastor Newman is frequently in contact with the White House staff and has attended briefings with Presidential Senior Staffers as well as with President Obama. He has also provided leadership in the election of the first African American Mayor of the City of Jacksonville.”
According to Bloomberg, Newman also serves as the Secretary and Director of Jacksonville Port Authority. Additionally, he has served on the boards of the National Baptist Convention of America, Cornerstone (JAXUSA Partnership), Jacksonville Urban League, Mayor’s councils, and the Sheriff’s Advisory Board.
