Kerry Kennedy
Kerry Kennedy used to be married to long time politician, Andrew Cuomo -best known as the 56th Governor of New York State.
Kerry Kennedy and Cuomo married in 1990, but divorced 15 years later, in 2005. During their marriage they welcomed three children.
It has been reported that the former couple had an intense and stressful marriage. Kerry and Cuomo were both activists who came from political families, though it is not clear why the two decided to split, it is known Kerry asked for him for a divorce after they worked together on Cuomo’s first campaign for governor -which went horribly with Cuomo ultimately quitting the race.

She studied law
She was born Mary Kerry Kennedy, the seventh of Ethel and Robert F. Kennedy’s eleven children; on September 8, 1959.
She is a graduate of Brown University and Boston College Law School. She holds honorary doctorates of law from Le Moyne College, University of San Francisco Law School, and University of New Caledonia, and honorary doctorates of Humane Letters from Bay Path College and the Albany College of Pharmacy.
Her college boyfriend passed away
While attending Boston College for law school, Kerry Kennedy suffered the loss of her then boyfriend, who died suddenly of a heart attack.
She is well known for her work as a human rights activist
Kerry Kennedy is President of Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights. A human rights activist and lawyer, she authored New York Times best seller Being Catholic Now, as well as Speak Truth to Power and Robert F. Kennedy: Ripples of Hope.
She has devoted more than 40 years to the pursuit of equal justice, the promotion and protection of basic rights, and the preservation of the rule of law. She works on a range of issues, including child labor, women’s rights, disappearances, indigenous land rights, judicial independence, freedom of expression, ethnic violence, criminal justice reform, immigration, impunity, and environmental justice.
She has received numerous honors
Kerry who remains active appearing as a commentator on national and worldwide television networks, and is a frequent contributor to newspapers and magazines. She has been the recipient of The Humanitarian award from the Congress of Nobel Peace Prize Laureates, and many other honors.
Her daughters have followed her footsteps
Kerry Kennedy and ex-husband Andrew, share three daughters—twins Mariah and Cara, 26, and Michaela, 23.
All three Kennedy-Cuomo girls, are Ivy League educated; Michaela and Mariah graduated from Brown University, while Cara received her degree from Harvard.
The tree of them are also members and supporters of the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights nonprofit. As a result, they often work with political figures including former First Couple Michelle and Barack Obama.
