Kat Steyer
Kat Steyer is the longtime wife of billionaire activist, Tom Steyer -who has officially announced he is running for president.
Kat’s husband is widely known as a philanthropist, the co-founder of OneCalifornia Bank, founder and former co-senior managing partner of Farallon Capital. He’s also made a name for himself for spending years – and millions of dollars – as a liberal activist on issues ranging from climate change to President Trump’s impeachment.
The former Goldman Sachs banker, Steyer founded Farallon Capital, an investment firm with more than $20 billion under its management, in 1986. He sold off his stake in the firm in 2012.
Tom and his wife are an interesting pair, the couple signed “The Giving Pledge” in 2010, vowing to donate “the bulk of our assets to philanthropic activities carried out over the course of our lifetimes.”

Kat Taylor born in 1958 to parents Polly Hoover Taylor and Edwin David “Ted” Taylor; attended Crystal Springs School in Hillsborough, Calif. Subsequently, graduated in 1980, with a Bachelor of Arts in American History from Harvard College, in addition to that she holds a Master of Business Administration from Stanford Graduate School of Business, from where she graduated in 1986.
#2 She serves as Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Beneficial State Bank
Kat is active in a variety of social enterprises, public benefit and philanthropic ventures on the West Coast. Currently, she serves as Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Beneficial State Bank, a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) whose mission is to bring beneficial banking to low-income communities in an economically and environmentally sustainable manner. Beneficial State Bank is the result of a merger between OneCalifornia Bank, which Kat and her husband, Tom Steyer, founded in Oakland, CA, and ShoreBank Pacific.

TomKat Ranch Educational Foundation (TKREF), is dedicated to inspiring a sustainable food system through ranching, training, tours, research, and school food and garden programs.

Kat and Tom Steyer, tied the knot on August 16, 1986, in the Memorial Church at Stanford University. They have four children together; Sam, Gus, Evelyn “Evi” and Henry Steyer. Kat Steyer and her husband live in San Francisco with their children and a number of animals.

Taylor is often described as more of a bohemian than a banker, the spouse and mother of four is said to have at least six tattoos. She has two very visible tattoos; one on her shoulder and the other around her upper arm.

Taylor has shown her commitment to social justice and environmental issues, and is passionate about business being the ideal vehicle to change lives; reason enough she was a keynote speaker back in 2017.
