Cheryl Flake
Cheryl Flake is the loving and supportive wife of Senator, Jeff Flake –set to step down from his senate post in January 2019.
Mrs. Flake’s Republican husband has served in the Senate since 2013, as the junior Senator from Arizona –where the family resides. Prior to his election to the U.S. Senate, Jeff served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2001-2013 representing the East Valley.
Her hubby has been a critic of president Trump and announced his decision not to seek reelection last October. Cheryl Flake has always been supportive of her husband’s decisions, and this one was no exception, they have been together for over 30-years.
Cheryl met her then future husband while attending Brigham Young University in the early 80’s. Long story short, they met, began dating, fell for each other and were married in 1985, shortly after their college graduation.
Since their nuptials they have welcomed five children together, one daughter and four sons. They are the proud parents of Alexis, Ryan, Austin, Tanner and Dallin. They are also the proud grandparents of at least three grandchildren including, Aiden Jeffry Flake born in 2012 to the couple’s son Ryan and his wife, Linndsy.
Cheryl’s family are all practicing Mormons and regularly attend church. However in 2013, one of her sons grabbed headlines after he used racist comments on social media. Senator Flake apologized after son Tanner, had been caught threatening and using racial slurs to whoever stole his bike on Twitter.
The following year Jeff and Cheryl Flake made headlines again this time for their son, Austin and his wife Logan –after they were charged in the death of 21 dogs. The charges were eventually dropped.
Cheryl has clearly dedicated her life to being a wife and mother, however during her husband’s campaign for the senate she repeatedly appeared by his side.
The family own a 4,625-square-foot home in Mesa.
