Charlie Rose
Charlie Rose, until recently, longtime newsman and respected journalist has been hit by the wave of sexual abuse allegations that began with Hollywood disgraced producer Harvey Weinstein.
Rose is allegedly guilty of groping at least eight women according to an explosive article by The Post. His suspension from CBS was announced Monday, less than 90 minutes after The Post’s story published.
Rose was one of the best-regarded names in TV news. His 2013 interview with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad won him both an Emmy and a Peabody Award, and in 2015 he received the Walter Cronkite Excellence in Journalism Award.
Rose has co-hosted “CBS This Morning” since the show’s launch in 2012 and is a contributing correspondent for the network’s Sunday night show, “60 Minutes.” He is also the owner of his own production company, Charlie Rose Inc.
Rose said in a statement he ‘always thought he was pursuing shared feelings’ at the time of his alleged inappropriate behavior. What will those closest to him make out of all these?

Mary Rose
Charlie was married to Mary King from 1968 until their divorce in 1980. The two were together for a total of 12-years. The two met during college and tied the knot within the same year –after Rose completed law school in 1968.
According to online info, Mary King worked as a correspondent for BBC. At the time she and Charlie met she was hired by the BBC in New York. Rose handled various assignments for the BBC as a freelancer. They former couple never had any children.
Rose has been romantically linked to a number of women including TV personality, Sonja Morgan. He also dated actress Sandahl Bergman for a year in the 80’s.
Perhaps his most notorious relationship has been with Amanda Burden. The two began a romance in the early 90’s. He revealed in an interview the couple had stopped dating in 2006. They were never married.
She and Charlie have reportedly been off-and-on over the course of their 20-plus-years relationship.
Amanda Burden is a socialite and former chairman of the New York City Planning Commission and director of the city department of planning. Born January 18, 1944, the NY native was born to socialite, Babe Paley and her first husband, Stanley Grafton Mortimer, Jr. She later became the stepdaughter of CBS late founder William S. Paley.
An heir to the Standard Oil fortune, Amanda currently serves as a Principal at Bloomberg Associates, an international consulting service founded by Michael Bloomberg.
The 73-year-old has been twice married and twice divorced. Her first husband was Carter Burden, Jr. from 1964 until 1972. She later wedded Steven J. Ross in 1979 but also ended in divorce in 1981.
She is the mother of two children from her first marriage, Flobelle Fairbanks Burden and S. Carter Burden III.
Children
There are no records of Charlie Rose ever having kids of his own. However he is said to be very close to Amanda Burden’s children. He is even godfather to two of her grandkids, according to Newsweek.
