Carl Higbie
Carl Higbie, a former navy SEAL and Trump supporter who was appointed to the CNCS last year –has resigned reports say.
34-year-old Higbie has shown a patter for making racist, sexist, anti-Muslim and anti-LGBT comments, according to a KFile review. Higbie served until recently as chief of external affairs for the federal government’s volunteer service organization, CNCS –which oversees volunteer programs like AmeriCorps and Senior Corps.
According to CNN, Carl made such comments while hosting a radio show back in 2013. As host of the radio program “Sound of Freedom,” on Internet talk radio, Higbie made shocking comments about black Americans, Muslims, women, LGBT people, veterans suffering from PTSD and immigrants.
He said during a comment, that black people suffer from a “lax of morality” and that they “think that breeding is a form of employment.”
His navy service includes two tours of duty in Iraq. He then ran against Democrat Rep. Jim Himes for his seat representing Connecticut’s 4th District in the House of Representatives in 2014. Carl became a conservative media personality, appearing on cable news and serving as the spokesman for the Trump-aligned Great America PAC.
Carl is also the author of ‘Battle on The Home Front: A Navy SEAL’s Mission to Save the American Dream.’
If he isn’t married by now we see it a bit complicated for him to get a lady’s attention these days. Higbie hasn’t only been accused of being racist and sexist, he’s definitely not popular among the ladies; last May he dissed singer Katy Perry during a TV interview saying “Go to hell, Katy Perry. Hold one of your concerts in Syria and see how that goes.”
He responded to Perry’s call for tolerance following the deadly suicide bombing at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, England.
