Marty Kemp
Marty Kemp is the lovely wife of businessman and politician, Brian Kemp –currently serving as the Governor of Georgia.
Marty’s Republican husband previously served as Secretary of State of Georgia since 2010 and was reelected in 2014.
Born in 1963, the Georgia native went to work in construction full time and started his first business following his graduation from UGA.
He’s been happily married to Marty –whom he met as children, for over two decades.
Mrs. Kemp or better said, Georgia’s First Lady, was born as Marty Argo. The 52-year-old has been an exceptional support for her husband, after all she is no stranger to public service life.
Her father, Bob Argo –was a longtime member of the Georgia House of Representatives. The daughter of a politician, Marty was in a way, the perfect wife for Brian Kemp.
Marty met her future husband while in high school in Athens, Georgia. They both attended Athens Academy and the two also attended University of Georgia together. At the time, Marty was on the cheerleading team.
The couple has been married for over two decades and since have welcome three children together. Brian and Marty Kemp are the proud parents of three daughters Amy, Jarrett and Lucy. Jarrett is a UGA sophomore. Lucy is a senior at Athens Academy and Amy Porter is a sophomore there.
Marty Kemp is a former pre-k teacher. She worked as a Pre-K and substitute teacher prior to the birth of her children.
As a political spouse, Marty Kemp has certainly stepped up to the plate. The full time mom is known for actively campaigning on behalf of her husband. Not only does she appear at his side at events, she also travels across Georgia and speaks at rallies for Brian. Their daughters spent time on the trail as well. In addition she’s also featured in a number of videos speaking on behalf of her husband.
When not supporting her husband or tending to her daughters, Marty Kemp stays busy with the other family members which include a horse and a goat. The family live in an Athens-Clarke County farm.
