Darla Shine is the proud wife of TV exec turned white house top aide, Bill Shine –who until recently had been serving as White House Deputy Chief of Staff.
Darla’s husband was appointed to his White House post by President Trump back in 2018, but Bill is now stepping down to take on another Trump endeavor, that of being a senior adviser for Trump’s 2020 re-election campaign.
Born William Shine on July 4, 1963; the New York native previously served as co-president of Fox News but had to leave that post too –after he received major criticism over his handling of sexual harassment claims against former Fox News CEO Roger Ailes and star host Bill O’Reilly.
He began his career working as a production assistant at WLIG (TV).
He made the transition to Fox News in 1996 as the producer of Hannity & Colmes. Three years after that, he was the Fox News executive producer for primetime. He was promoted a number of times before being named the senior executive vice president of programming in 2014.
He’s been married to wife, Darla for years. Darla Shine made headlines following her husband’s white house appointment after she was described as sexist and racist on social media.
Mrs. Shine was born Darla Seneck; after graduating college and attending grad school, she worked as a reporter and producer.
The former TV producer met her husband while also working at Fox News. The couple raised two grown children together, son Connor and daughter, Hannah.
Following their nuptials, Darla remained dedicated to her children. The wife and mom of two runs her own website called, “Darla Shine’s Happy Housewives Club” –where she shares her experiences as a proud mom and housewife.
However, she didn’t always though like this, she writes about not wanting to be a housewife, choosing to go to school and have a big career so she wouldn’t end up like her mother did. However, her outlook in life changed after she became a mother herself.
Darla has also authored a book on being a stay-at-home mom titled, “Happy Housewives.”
