Areva Martin, the stunning TV personality and legal analyst –blew it big time when she accused black radio host, David Webb of ‘white privilege.’
Areva Martin was a guest on Webb’s radio show; on a segment that aired today she can be heard saying “Well, David, that’s a whole ‘nother long conversation about white privilege, the things that you have the privilege of doing that people of color don’t have the privilege of,” said Martin.
“Areva, I hate to break it to you, but you should’ve been better prepped. I’m black,” said Webb. Martin apologized saying “my people gave me wrong information.”
Areva Martin is best known for appearing on TV show, Face The Truth, she’s also a civil rights attorney, author and CNN legal analyst. Martin is seen regularly on shows including Dr. Phil, AC360, CNN Tonight, Good Morning America, ABC World News Tonight, and others. She’s often dubbed, America’s advocate.
She is the mother of three children, including teenage son Marty –who was diagnosed with autism at age 2 –reason why she created the Special Needs Network, Inc. She’s also the proud mom of two young adult daughters, Michael and Morgan.
Martin who is pretty active on social media, often posts images of her children –however is unclear who the father of her children is, or if she’s even in a current romantic relationship. A number of publications, report she lives in Los Angeles with her husband who is virtually a mystery.
In addition to her public persona, Martin is founder and a managing partner of Martin & Martin, LLP in Los Angeles, which battles behind the scenes in civil rights litigation. According to Bloomberg, Ms. Martin also serves as Member of Mom Advisory Board at Lean Forward Media, LLC.
The St. Louis native obtained degrees from the University of Chicago and Harvard Law School.
