Darryl Jackson
Darryl Jackson is the proud husband of District Judge, Amy Berman Jackson –the same presiding Roger Stone’s case.
Darryl’s wife is presiding the case of Roger Stone –who was recently indicted for lying to Congress and threatening a witness.
Amy Berman Jackson was appointed to the post by former President Barack Obama. She received her J.D. cum laude from Harvard Law School and her A.B. cum laude from Harvard College.
She began her career as a law clerk for the Hon. Harrison L. Winter on the United States Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit, and she served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Columbia, where she received Department of Justice Special Achievement Awards for her work on murder and sexual assault cases.
Prior to joining the court, Berman Jackson was also a partner at Venable, Baetjer, Howard, and Civiletti. She later engaged in private practice in Washington, D.C. as a member of Trout Cacheris, where she specialized in complex criminal and civil trials and appeals.
Judge Berman is the same who revoked Paul Manafort’s bond and jailed him before trial because he tampered with witnesses; she is also the judge who dismissed a civil lawsuit against Hillary Clinton.
Her husband, Darryl Jackson is also a lawyer who has held important positions in the past.
Darryl Jackson served as Assistant Secretary for Export Enforcement at the U.S. Department of Commerce –after he was nominated by President Bush in 2005. Jackson previously served as a partner at the law firm of Arnold & Porter LLP.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Jackson served in various positions at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia. As the Executive Assistant U.S. Attorney for Operations, he was responsible for implementing prosecutorial policy and overseeing legal operations in the nation’s largest U.S. Attorney’s Office. In addition he is a Distinguished Lecturer in Law at The Catholic University of America’s Columbus School of Law and has taught Federal Criminal Law and Trial Advocacy as the Visiting Howrey Professor at the George Washington University’s National Law Center.
Daryl Jackson received his J.D. from Howard University School of Law and Bachelor of Arts from Lincoln University of Pennsylvania.
The couple shares a son, Matt –who is a bit of a celebrity, having appeared on “Jeopardy!” in 2015.
